Fresno Teens Antarpreet Singh, 15, Harjap Singh, 14, Killed in Motorcycle Crash with Amazon Van near Jensen, Sunnyside Ave

Fresno, CA ‒ On the night of Sunday, December 15, 2024, a collision between a motorcycle and an Amazon delivery van resulted in 15-year-old Antarpreet Singh and 14-year-old Harjap Singh, both of Fresno, losing their life, according to The Fresno Bee.

The Fresno Police Department reports that the fatal accident took place around 8:10 PM near Jensen Avenue and Sunnyside Avenue.

Emergency responders arriving at the scene attempted to perform life-saving procedures on the two young men, but they tragically succumbed to their injuries. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. There were no injuries among the two occupants of the Amazon van.

Investigations from the Fresno PD Reconstruction Unit suggest that the Amazon van had been in the process of turning onto Sunnyside from Byrd when the motorcycle, which had been traveling southbound on Sunnyside Avenue, collided with it.

The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified the victims and said that they were friends.

Wrongful Death Claims

Determining fault in a collision can involve multiple factors, and under California’s Comparative Liability rule, several parties can share partial responsibility. A personal injury attorney can play a crucial role in helping victims establish legal responsibility after a traffic accident.

Should someone else be found even partly responsible for the death, the family may be able to file a Wrongful Death claim against the at-fault driver’s insurance. This can provide compensation to help cover medical bills, funeral expenses, and the loss of income to support the family of the deceased.
