Yamaha Motorcyclist Injured in Crash with Kia at Wilson Rd, Larson Ln in Bakersfield

Bakersfield, CA ‒ On the evening of Tuesday, December 17, 2024, a crash between a motorcycle and sedan left a motorcyclist with serious injuries, according to KBAK.

The two-vehicle accident took place between a black Yamaha motorcycle and black Kia sedan around 6:10 PM at the intersection of Wilson Road and Larson Lane.

The Bakersfield Police Department reported that the Kia was making a left turn from westbound Wilson Road onto southbound Larson Lane when it struck the Yamaha, which had been traveling eastbound on Wilson.

Emergency responders discovered that the motorcyclist had suffered major injuries and provided him with transportation via ambulance to a local medical facility for treatment. The Kia driver was not injured in the crash.

The identities of those involved have yet to be released to the public. Authorities are still investigating what factors contributed to this accident. It is unknown whether driver impairment by alcohol or drugs may have played a role.
