Ridgecrest, CA – Pierson Milazzo, a 36-year-old Ridgecrest resident, was arrested Sunday evening, December 30, 2024, following a suspected DUI crash that injured another driver, according to KBAK.
The Ridgecrest Police Department reported that the accident took place around 6:48 PM at the intersection of West Felspar Avenue and North China Lake Boulevard.
Authorities reported that Milazzo lost control of his vehicle, struck another car, and injured its driver. The collision also brought down a streetlight, adding to the destruction caused by the crash.
When officers arrived at the scene, they observed signs of alcohol intoxication in Milazzo. A DUI test revealed his blood alcohol content (BAC) was over 0.35%, more than four times the legal limit. Police also found several open alcohol containers inside his vehicle.
Both Milazzo and the injured driver were transported to Ridgecrest Hospital for medical evaluation. After being treated, Milazzo was arrested and charged with felony DUI causing bodily injury and DUI with a BAC exceeding 0.08%. He was later booked into the Kern County Jail in Lerdo.
The condition of the injured driver has not been disclosed. The Ridgecrest Police Department continues to investigate the crash.
