Crash at College Ave, Morning Dr Injures Stiern Middle School Crossing Guard in Bakersfield

Bakersfield, CA — On Wednesday, February 5, 2025, a crossing guard at Stiern Middle School was struck by a vehicle while assisting students across the street, suffering a possible broken leg, according to KGET.

The Bakersfield Police Department reports that the accident took place around 8:00 AM near the intersection of College Avenue and Morning Drive.

The crossing guard was helping students cross the street when a motorist allegedly failed to stop in time due to speeding, striking the guard.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, but was not arrested. Police confirmed that the driver would likely receive a speeding citation for the incident.

Fortunately, no students were injured in the collision, and the crossing guard was transported to Kern Medical for further treatment.

Personal Injury Claims

After a car accident, victims and their families often deal with unexpected financial burdens, such as medical bills, lost income, and, in the worst cases, burial costs.

A Personal Injury claim allows accident victims to hold the at-fault party financially responsible for their cost of care. However, insurance companies usually try to reduce payouts for claims they can’t deny.

This is where a skilled personal injury attorney becomes essential, helping ensure victims get the justice and compensation they deserve.
