Sutter County, CA – On the morning of Sunday, April 20, 2025, a head-on collision left one woman dead and another person with major injuries, according to The Sacramento Bee.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 9:50 AM near Live Oak Boulevard just south of Rednall Road in the Berg area, a few miles north of Yuba City.
Investigators have said that Brenda Pruitt, 60, of Linda, was driving a Chevrolet Aveo northbound when she crossed the double yellow line into the southbound lane in an attempt to pass slower-moving traffic. Her vehicle collided head-on with a Toyota Prius traveling southbound. Pruitt was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Prius, a 51-year-old Yuba City resident employed as a state worker, sustained major injuries in the crash. Emergency responders transported the individual to Adventist Health and Rideout Hospital for treatment.
Authorities have stated that the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
Personal Injury Claims
When the actions of reckless drivers cause others to be injured, the cost of recovery should not fall on their victims. Filing a Personal Injury Claim with the at-fault party’s insurance can provide compensation for medical bills and lost wages during recovery.
However, insurance companies often try to deny or minimize claims. That’s why having a knowledgeable personal injury attorney on your side is crucial to securing proper compensation for your injuries.
