Gurminder Singh, 31, Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Manning Ave in Fresno County

Fresno County, CA – On the evening of Monday, April 21, 2025, a pedestrian was fatally injured after being struck by two vehicles on Manning Avenue, according to The Fresno Bee.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 8:35 PM near Manning Avenue, east of Englehart Avenue.

Authorities say 31-year-old Gurminder Singh of Reedley was walking in the eastbound lane of Manning Avenue when he was initially struck by a 22-year-old woman driving a Hyundai Elantra, who was also traveling east. After the initial collision, Singh remained in the roadway and was subsequently struck again by a 27-year-old woman driving a Honda Accord.

Emergency responders airlifted Singh to Community Regional Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries. Neither driver is believed to have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the collision.

CHP has not reported any charges filed at this time. The investigation remains active, and officials are working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.

Pedestrian Fatalities and Wrongful Death Claims

Drivers have a Duty of Care towards pedestrians, who are particularly vulnerable in traffic accidents. This responsibility includes being vigilant for pedestrians near the roadway and, if a fatal collision occurs, staying with the victim, alerting emergency responders, and cooperating with authorities investigating the crash.

For those who lose a loved one in a pedestrian accident, filing a Wrongful Death claim with the assistance of an experienced attorney can provide compensation for medical bills, funeral costs, and other related damages.

Should the at-fault driver avoid legal consequences, compensation might still be available through a family member’s uninsured driver coverage.
